Tree of Warmth and Food Shelf for the GI Community This Holiday Season

Grand Island Public Library

The Grand Island Public Library and Foundation has a Tree of Warmth for our community this winter. People can donate new, clean and in good-shape
hats, scarves, gloves, and socks for the community. Library staff will hang the donated items on the Tree of Warmth that will be available during normal library hours.

The library will not take any donations of other types of clothing. Clothing can be donated to other charities that have the capacity to deal with clothing. The library will have the Tree of Warmth up through January 6th.

The library has the Abbott House food shelf in the library commons area. People can donate canned food preferably with a pop-top, and other nonperishable food items. People can also donate personal items such as toothpaste, deodorant, shaving cream, razors, toothbrushes etc. Please do not donate clothing to this area.
