Husky History Happens in DH Split/Tonight's game POSTPONED

The Aurora baseball team earned its first road victory in school history as part of a double header split with St. Paul/Palmer. Aurora won the opener in thrilling fashion 6-5. The lead changed hands four times. Keegan Chaney hit the first Aurora home run. His three-run shot in the fourth gave Aurora a 4-2 lead. Chaney later made a diving grab as part of a double play to end the sixth preserving a 6-5 advantage. The Huskies had regained the lead on a two-run double by Dane Comer in the top of the inning.  Jack Spiehs worked 2.2 innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win.

Game two was all about Ashton Meinecke. The SPP senior tossed a five inning perfect game, striking out 12 of the 15 batters he faced. He also homered and doubled in the 10-0 contest.

Hear Kevin Asher's post game interview from 97.3 the Wolf. Tonight's games at Crete have been postponed. They are working on a make-up date, but that's still to be determined.

Both Aurora and St. Paul/Palmer will be a part of the C-2 district at Lincoln Christian next Thursday.
