State Advocacy Day – Alzheimer’s Disease

Time: 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Phone: 402-616-2758

About the Event: On March 5, 2019, advocates from across the state of Nebraska will come together at the state capitol for State Advocacy Day. Volunteers, staff, and first-time advocates will spend the morning learning advocacy 101 and Alzheimer’s policy issues. Personal stories from staff and volunteers will be shared to inspire our advocates and to reiterate how present Alzheimer’s disease is here in Nebraska. Advocates will then head to the Capitol to urge state legislators to support legislation that, if passed, would contribute positively to the lives of families affected by the disease. All are welcomed to attend. Registration will be available on the “Advocacy” tab of the website – alz.org/Nebraska. About the Alzheimer's Association® The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s research, care and support. Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s. Visit alz.org® or call 800.272.3900.
